Tenants test new recipes created by the Institut de tourisme et d’hôtellerie du Québec (ITHQ)
On November 10, tenants of the ENHARMONIE network met with students and professors of the ITHQ in order to test new healthy recipes created specifically for them – a serious undertaking since four meals complete with soup, main dish and dessert had to be tasted! Once they are finalized, the recipes will be used in seven out of the ten ENHARMONIE residences offering five hot meals per week. “We observe that mealtime is an important moment in the daily lives of our tenants. They come down to the dining room not only to eat, but also to socialize, circulate new ideas and make plans for the afternoon”, explains Debbie Di Chiaro, Director of the ENHARMONIE network. “We asked the ITHQ to help us offer tasty, comforting, delicious and balanced meals. Meals which are truly adapted to the preferences of our tenants.” Numerous tenants have actively participated in this project since its beginning in the fall of 2010.
